PRODUCTION
PRODUCTION
looking at the original website in my research i realised that i have a lot of options on what i want to do with this website , i spoke with my client and she would like to see a store on the page and a bit more of information about the company its self due to the original lacking in information and depth.
We were using a website called wix to build a website on , it has so many creative options you can develop around so it was perfect , I started off looking for a template which i could mold into my own and this was template :
I saw this a huge opportunity to build around as i wanted a store , a structured payment set up , FAQ and an about. i started off with completely getting rid off the home page picture to fill in the unique Norfolk Cheese Company colour , i spoke about in my research about putting in a gallery as the home page as it instantly gave the customer something to look at , and i did this exactly. I added a task bar which was related to the company and added in the email and phone number at the top so the customers could easily get in contact if they needed to. I also adding links to the Facebook and Instagram as so many customers are on social media they could find other portfolios and information about the company. Essentially i saw the task-bar as the ' essentials ' for the customers , an ease of access for surfing the website.

I spoke about the gallery a lot on the research and the importance of it , however i personally thought i made it even better when put in a like button mechanism where you can like photos , this links with the widget i added where you can make an account but i will talk about that later.
So as you can see i have changed a lot in comparison to the template , but that was always going to happen. I wanted the website to look fresh just like the original but i wanted it look like it had so much to look through , i worked on the homepage a lot and this is when there are huge differences in me changing the template. On the original website it stated the days my client works and i liked that idea so i added that into the website because it gives a customer where your popular locations are. However i wanted to develop on that more. I added in a google maps finder where you could find where she is normally based so the customers knew if they were near or not.
-As you can see , there are still hints of the template but its been engulfed by that the unique and distinctive colour which i said i would splash all over the website.

I then added in some little bits just to add to the homepage such as some reviews the company had off Facebook and a little gallery just to show the customers a little more of what we glimpse. But what i added in the homepage is essentially what the whole website had on the original.

ABOUT US TAB
The about us tab was a page to essentially introduce the upbringing of the business and introduce the company to you. I wanted to make the page clear the audience but once again look aesthetically pleasing , by doing that i put in that pasty green again as the background. Considering this is a local business , i spoke about how Norfolk produce is important as it helps out local small businesses. I also added in live photos to enhance the modern touch to the website.
HERE IS A LIVE VIDEO OF THE ABOUT PAGE :
When you click on one of the products it opens up to a page of the cheese and an explanation of what the cheese , it also states the price of the product.
Website review
Good colours, text is nice colour and size.
Possibly to many pictures packed onto one page. Like the use of cheese nice pictures hope you took them yourself. IF not you might want to.
I really liked the layout and use of colour and style on this website, however the only thing i would mention needing changing would be about the first couple of images on the home page. Two of these images are of a similar thing but just taken from another angle, therefore by choosing maybe a different image will give more content rather than wasting space.
first thing i like to mention is your website is very colourful, I really like that. Even you used some good pictures.
Kailey: I really liked your website it is relevant to the product and is aesthetically pleasing to the eye. The colours are used well together and work well with the images you have. The text is clear and easy to read, all of the text you have is relevant. I can't really think of any improvements so well done!
Faye: The colour scheme is perfect! The overall appearance is oddly aesthetic and easy to read. This isn't a criticism but you COULD try using softer handwritten style fonts to try and fit the logo. However, this depends on your target audience, and since (I'm assuming) a fairly large male audience buy these products, maybe this might not be the best idea. I'm not too sure about the shadows on the Wisbech and Downham Market as everything else is very two-dimensional, but it's your work. :) Very good use of text hierarchy and layout.
ON GOING PROGRESS:

OVERALL
overall the website production went really well because i knew what i wanted to do with it , i had a vision and i wanted it to go a certain way and it did.

STORE TAB
the store tab is one of the most important parts of the website , mainly because its what the client wanted to see as one of the changes. I added in the store and began designing it and once again using that distinctive colour. I wanted to sell a range of products to show the audience that we don't just sell cheese.
When you click on one of the products it opens up to a page of the cheese and an explanation of what the cheese , it also states the price of the product.
